As I have shown numerous times in the past (the latest being the Prosecco Can Age, part 1 piece published here on the Ian D’Agata Wine Review on August 20, 2025: please see the Real Quality Prosecco can age: Masottina Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Rive di Ogliano Extra Dry 2024-2014) quality Prosecco wines can and will age relatively well. Clearly, not at Château Margaux- or Monfortino-type levels of ripe old age, but ten years is not at a stretch for good Prosecco wines. Especially the Prosecco Superiore wines made in the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene DOCG by competent producers. Gemin is one such winery of which I recently completed and am now publishing the first ever complete vertical of the estate’s top bubbly, the Prosecco Superiore Valdobbiadene-Conegliano Pioniere.
