There are restaurants and bistros that are so well-situated that you want to sit at one of their tables and rest up almost independently of the food. And if the food and wines are good, or at least decent for the price, then all the better. Such is the case of the pretty Café du Palais in Reims that offers a row of smartly situated tables and chairs where one can sit down, eat and drink well while leisurely letting the afternoon drift by while people watching. Given that the restaurant’s name was once Café du Grand Théâtre, a little theatre should be a large part of the equation when you dine there.
