There are restaurants that look great and some are even unforgettably beautiful; but after all is said and done, the design or the atmosphere or the natural setting it was located in is all you remember. That’s not the case at all with Avista in Funchal, the capital of beautiful Madeira, which boasts not just one of the most beautiful restaurant locations one could wish for but also serves spectacular food coupled with an outstanding wine list. The place is simply everything you’d want a restaurant to be, beginning with absolutely magical terrace where you can gaze at the ocean opening up in front of you as well as from the main dining room inside which features floor to ceiling windows that are spotlessly clean. The design of the restaurant is also noteworthy, with well-distanced tables that are nicely appointed and comfortable.
