Lemon, razor clam, clam, asparagus and yougurt risotto (Risotto ai limoni, cannolicchi, vongole veraci, asparagi e yogurt)

Guinea fowl crepinette, red vermouth, prunes and cocoa (Faraona in crepinette, vermouth rosso, prugne e cacao)

One of the most romantic restaurants (also a small hotel) in the Eternal City, Enoteca La Torre / Villa Laetitia is also one of its most beautiful. The villa itself dates back to 1911, designed by Armando Brasini, and while its Liberty (Art Déco) style design renders it extremely pretty and charming already on the outside, it’s just as beautiful on the inside. The dining room, for example, is a really grand affair, with soaring ceilings, chandeliers, high drapes, tables widely spaced one from the other, magnificent linen, glassware, and cutlery. It all makes for a truly sumptuous design and décor. The Enoteca La Torre / Villa Laetitia project was launched back in 2013 (the official presentation took place on May 30 of that year, while the restaurant’s doors opened on June 6); it was Anna Fendi Venturini who called upon the Pepponi family to run the restaurant in her family villa. And so was born the Enoteca la Torre / Villa Laetitia restaurant in Rome, that, by basically everybody’s account, is one of the capital’s finest dining establishments. Chances are good Fendi hasn’t had to regret her decision, given that the restaurant was awarded two Michelin stars in November 2022 (it had earned its first Michelin star in 2020). The Enoteca La Torre group is actually a real force in Rome’s fine dining scene, in charge of the restaurants at the Rinascente department store group in Rome (most famously at the top floor terrace of the Rinascente Tritone), but also other restaurants such as La Dogana in Capalbio, on the Tuscan coast. It is also a major player in the high-end Italian catering business and has been charged with some very important appointments indeed, such as taking care of food matters during a G7 meeting.
