La Côte Saint-Jacqus in Joigny

Trust me: located close to Chablis and Dijon (and only an hour and a half removed from Paris), La Côte Saint-Jacques & Spa is one of the most beautiful countryside retreats you’ll ever stay in. Every time I am lucky enough to be there I feel like I have been transported inside a painting by Corot, weeping willow, riverbanks and water lazily flowing and ebbing by, included. Clearly, there are plenty of drop-dead gorgeous county resorts all over the world to choose where to stay at, from Napa to Stellenbosh to Tuscany, but few manage to combine relaxation, a gorgeous view, fine dining and wines like this creation by esteemed chef Jean-Michel Lorain does so well.
