In Veneto, one of Italy’s biggest wine producing regions, large wineries are more common than in the rest of Italy. At roughly 2 million bottles/year and almost 100 hectares farmed, Zenato is very much a large winery; but importantly, it is one that manages to combine quantity and quality like few others. All their wines, from white to red, rarely if ever disappoint. Furthermore, the family has the huge merit of having been the first to really believe in Lugana and in having turned it into the worldwide success story it is today.

A Zenato overview
For all its renown and importance, Zenato is actually, by Italian standards at least, a relatively young winery. It was founded by Sergio Zenato only in 1960, and despite growing to its present-day huge size, it has maintained its family business reality and charm, run today his children Alberto and Nadia and their mother Carla.
