The dishes

Ravioli del plin: handmade ravioli del plin stuffed with meat and vegetables served: or “in the napkin” (without sauce) or with butter and sage (Ravioli  del plin alla vecchia maniera nel tovagliolo o conditi con burro e salvia)

Brasato al Barbaresco: typical braised beef in Barbaresco wine sauce with mashed potatoes and vegetables (Tradizionale Brasato al Barbaresco con vellutata di patate e verdure spadellate)

Founded by Vladimiro Bo, who knows a lot about wine, and Beatrice Pola who is in the kitchen, this restaurant is housed in a really beautiful palazzo, with a very nice outside dining area when weather allows. Outside, close to the name of the restaurant you’ll also see the words camere (and zimmer, in German) and enoteca; neither one surprises because l’Aromatario also doubles as a bed and breakfast and an excellent wine spot, with the walls littered with interesting bottles. Given the Aromatario’s splendid location in downtown pretty Neive, it won’t matter what you’ll choose to do here, eat, drink or sleep, because you are guaranteed to walk away reasonably happy. L’Aromatario offers a nice alternative dining spot when you want to try something new rather than always hitting the usual spots we all tend to go to, over and over again, when we visit the Langhe.
