La Torre del Saracino

Via Torretta, 9

80069 Vico Equense NA

Italy

The dishes

Crispy pepper risotto with an essence of cod cheek and oregano (Risotto al peperone crusco, essenza di guance di merluzzo e origano)

Grouper filet cooked on the skin with its “Acqua pazza” emulsion (Filetto di cernia cotto sulla pelle con la sua emulsione all’acqua pazza)

Roasted monkfish, lee mousse, turmeric and vermouth sauce (Rana pescatrice arrostita, spuma di porri, curcuma e salsa al Vermouth)

Like a zuppa inglese (Come una zuppa inglese)

La Torre del Saracino is one of Italy’s best restaurants (if you care about such things, it boasts a two-Michelin stars rating) located in Vico Equense, just a short but slow (because of the traffic) drive away from pretty Sorrento. In fact, the restaurant is really located in Marina di Equa, the beach area of Vico Equense, and you’ll reach it by taking a sharp turn and following the road that winds downhill towards the waterfront through a series of turns.
