Alsace makes the best white wines in the world, because no other wine region anywhere comes even close to making as many great wines from as many different varieties in both classically dry, off-dry and super-sweet late harvest and air-dried styles. Ian D’Agata has been covering the wines of Alsace extensively since 2000, and is without doubt the biggest English-language wine expert on Alsace wines that is currently writing on them with great depth and precision.
